"We have noted their deep keenness on becoming members of the Egyptian syndicate. We are grateful for their contributions in Kuwait and we back them up as they seek membership in their home country. They are a real asset for any society promoting the rights of journalists," he said, following a meeting with around 50 Egyptians working in the Kuwaiti media. However, several Kuwaiti journalists rejected Al Kanai's call, saying he should instead focus on domestic issues, mainly helping stateless journalists become members of the Kuwaiti association.
