During a layover in Conakry, my crew was invited to the launch party of a new airline, Air Guinée International. The company is based in Conakry funded mainly by Hong Kongese investors. They will have a few Airbus A320 to fly short distances to Bamako, Dakar etc... and one or 2 Airbus A340-500 to fly non stop from Conakry to Beijing (fasten your seatbelts, it's a 17-hour flight...)
The goal is to connect the Chinese diaspora in Western Africa with their homeland.
