GANADORA en Concurso Fotografico Semanal del Grupo VIVO POR LA FOTOGRAFIA(Semana 17 año 2010)

Con esto quiero representar, uno de los momentos más mágicos para muchos niños. Muchos de ellos van creando una pequeña bola(al principio), que al final de semana puede a llegar a pesar hasta un kilogramo. Los niños van pidiendo cera a los nazarenos en las diferentes procesiones que salen toda la semana. Lo bonito es que como los cirios son de diversos colores(dependiendo de la hermandad), cada bola de cera es unica, en cuanto a colores y texturas.
Con esto quiero brindar un pequeño homenaje a esos niños y a los nazarenos que comparten la cera de sus velas.

(17th week of 2010)

In this photo I wanted to show one of the most magical moments for the children of Seville during the Easter Week celebrations.
During the week, the children go around asking the nazarenos (penitents) for some wax from the candles that decorate the different religious sculptures taken out in procession each day during the week.
With this wax, they make balls which are small at first, but grow in size as the week progresses and can reach up to 1 kg. in weight by the end of the week.
Since the candles vary in colour depending on the brotherhood they belong to, the wax balls made by the children end up being unique in its variety of colours and textures.
By sharing this I want to pay tribute to those children and the nazarenos who share the wax from their candles.

I want to dedicate this photo to my friend Eber&Mars.
