Situated on the city walls of Floriana, Malta, the Argotti Gardens were laid out in the 18th century as a private garden belonging to Grand Master Pinto.
The gardens became botanical a century later, with a rich collection of trees and shrubs from oaks to oleanders and potted plants, especially cacti. The gardens also hold a variety of water features – fountains, ponds and water towers.

Night 6 – Nighttime Harbour walk from Sliema to Valletta (and back again)
You'd think I would have had enough of walking after my trip to the Mellieħa, but after tea I decided to take a stroll into Valletta the long way around the harbour passing through Gzira, Msida, Ta' Xbiex and Floriana on my way.
After dark Valletta takes on quite a different character, the historic fortifications and ramparts are deserted and the streets, bustling with tourists and locals going about their business during the day, fall eerily silent...Valletta is not a 24-hour City like many European Capitals!
