By midnight, there's a quite ceremony attended by close family members. The newly weds were to perform some more prayers and chants, and then search for their rings in a pot of milk and water :)

After the entire wedding ceremony, where I finally got to sit down and rest, everyone else were either eating or had already left. So while waiting for our ride, Jo decided to entertain some kids while they collected all the flowers from the decorations

Part of the procession's must-do is to go around the neighbourhood to spread the good news of the marriage. It's tradition I was told. But that one round trip made me see more. These are the children of the streets, living in makeshift huts and scrapping a living through junk. Reality is, there's so many of them all over the place.

The groom gets smeared with some kind of spice paste as part of the ceremony, and boy, does it stink :D hahaha!

After the 'smear campaign', what else is there to do but to celebrate through dancing?

The ceremony done in dance and singing and lots of chanting comes out of the nearby temple with the holy/blessed water to end the ceremony.
