Famous film director Cecil B. DeMille had this apartment building built for his mother Beatrice, and named it after her. He reportedly visited her almost every day. It's located at 2026 Argyle Ave. in Hollywood.

Just after shooting The Ten Commandments in 1924, Beatrice died in her apartment. The building still lives on, however.

This building rises above most others in the area, and certainly stands out amongst the run down shops along Western Ave. It is currently being restored.
