After a few minutes of us standing there the mother of the groom came over with some cakes, and the father of the groom came over with some pretty serious booze, so we all drank to the health of the groom with the family. You can just see the end of the crowd. Behind us, the entire village is out on the street partying...

This was taken at Spisske Hrad in Slovakia. At the bottom of the castle, we wandered into the pre-wedding party the groom's family was having while they waited for the bride to arrive from the next village. These two girls asked me to take their picture.

The village of Zadiel in the Slovak Karst region. A friend of mine and I were headed for the gorge that starts at the village. Even though the town is now in Slovakia, almost everyone here speaks only Hungarian.
