Huipil Women - Group

I made this piece using pieces of used huipiles and cortes purchased here in Guatemala. A huipil is the traditional blouse worn by Guatemalan women and is sometimes spelled guipil. A corte is the traditional skirt.

The body is felt, and all pieces are glued onto 8X10" 140lb. watercolor paper.
