Indian Ocean - Pacific - NE of Australia - about midway between Hawaii and Australia.

For the third consecutive year, US nuclear test victims in the Marshall Islands have been denied compensation, with a claims tribunal saying Saturday that funds were too low to make even a token payment. More than two billion dollars is owed in approved payments for personal injury and other claims arising from the 67 nuclear weapons tests conducted by the United States at Bikini and Enewetak atolls from 1946 to 1958. The funding provided by Washington was "manifestly inadequate", said Nuclear Claims Tribunal chairman Gregory Danz.

Until the islands establish the rule of law, they will continue to suffer from the ‘dark side’ of globalisation, writes Sue Windybank

Majuro pronounced /'mædʒəroʊ/) is the capital and largest city of the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

Has a presence in Marshall Ilands, Micronesia, and Palau. (?)

"The Marshall Islands faces an unemployment rate over 30 percent, skyrocketing health problems, including a diabetes epidemic that is estimated to affect more than 10 percent of the 53,000 islanders, and high public school drop out rates."

1,000,000 + views last week

I'm about 20k over a million views! I have been so damn busy at work here in Kuwait I have not had the time to upload any photos, take any new photos or sit down and write a story. I didn't even realize I broke a million views until I checked the stats today. I'm averaging well over 2k views each day. I've never really understood this "EXPLORE" thing and have never had the desire to uplaod this creation.

I'm not sure how to take a million + views here. I am praying that somehow I will have the motivation and courage to continue to try and bring TRUTH and JUSTICE to the Marshall Islands in 2009. It really bothers me the things that I know go on there that most of the world does not. At least now some of you readers know. And who knows, perhaps my book will be popular and even more people will become aware of the TRUTH! The more informed a civilian population is the better the chance it has to bring about change!

I thank you all who come here to my stream and read! I appreciate all the FAVS and comments as well. If you have any ideas on how I can better get the TRUTH out there to the world PLEASE tell! :-) In numbers we all are strong and have a better chance at fighting back against corruption and greed!

Thank you all and God Bless!

Global warming and rising sea levels mean the entire country may be gone in fifty years--Dec 24 2008 sea surges at high tide washed over Majuro and forced hundreds of people to seek shelter when their homes were destroyed. The highest point above sea level is only about six feet.
