from the page: "DOHA (AFP) — Qatar ordered the closure of Israel's trade office in Doha over the Jewish state's war on Gaza, Qatar's official news agency reported on Sunday, citing a foreign ministry official...Qatar, previously the only Gulf Arab state with Israeli trade ties, said officials working at the Jewish state's trade office, open since 1996, have seven days to leave the country. Qatar and Mauritania decided on Friday to "suspend" their relations with Israel at an Arab summit in Doha called to discuss the Israeli onslaught on Gaza, a Mauritanian diplomat told AFP."

The alignment of this house was striking, with a view to the nearby chimney and on the isolated house in the centre of the valley.

We found a good place to scramble up from Mysterious City, but the overhang looked very unstable around this edge of the valley.

As well as the strange buildings, Mysterious City has many small rock constructions. These are shaped like a chimney, although that's clearly not their purpose.

There was a cold winter breeze on this day in the desert, and so we had lunch in a sheltered corner.

Our friends from Doha called this place Mysterious City; some other people seem to call it Mystery Valley. The common theme is that people don't know the purpose of these stone huts, which are all in a small valley in the Qatar desert.
