I spotted this spray-painted mural on a roller shutter late one night in Old San Juan. My friend Luis, a native Puerto Rican, explained that this particular mural depicts a renowned event from a 2004 Olympic game between USA and Puerto Rico. After a particularly strong attack on the USA team, Arroyo pointed at his shirt defiantly, illustrating that he played for Puerto Rico whilst the USA fans chanted that "it's alright, it's OK, you'll be playing for us one day". Puerto Rico had an overwhelming victory against USA in that game and Arroyo now plays for Tel Aviv.
Carlos Alberto Arroyo Bermudez (born July 30, 1979 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player. Arroyo is the fifth player from Puerto Rico to play in the NBA and has become arguably the most successful of them in NBA history. He is currently playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Arroyo has played in the NBA, NCAA, and the National Superior Basketball League of Puerto Rico (BSN) with the Cangrejeros de Santurce and Fajardo. Arroyo has also played internationally in Spain. Arroyo was a member of the Puerto Rican National Basketball Team that most notably defeated the United States at the 2004 Olympic Basketball Tournament. He also represented Puerto Rico at the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan.

Christopher Columbus (1451 – May 20, 1506) was a navigator, colonizer and explorer whose voyages across the Atlantic Ocean led to general European awareness of the American continents in the Western Hemisphere. Though not the first to reach the Americas from Afro-Eurasia — preceded some five hundred years by Leif Ericson, and perhaps by others — Columbus initiated widespread contact between Europeans and indigenous Americans. With his several hapless attempts at establishing a settlement on the island of Hispaniola, he personally initiated the process of Spanish colonization which foreshadowed general European colonization of the "New World." (The term "pre-Columbian" is sometimes used to refer to the peoples and cultures of the Americas before the arrival of Columbus and his European successors.)
His initial 1492 voyage came at a critical time of growing national imperialism and economic competition between developing nation states seeking wealth from the establishment of trade routes and colonies. In this sociopolitical climate, Columbus's far-fetched scheme won the attention of Queen Isabella of Spain. Severely underestimating the circumference of the Earth, he hypothesized that a westward route from Iberia to the Indies would be shorter and more direct than the overland trade route through Arabia. If true, this would allow Spain entry into the lucrative spice trade — heretofore commanded by the Arabs and Italians. Following his plotted course, he instead landed within the Bahamas Archipelago at a locale he named San Salvador. Mistaking the North-American island for the East-Asian mainland, he referred to its inhabitants as "Indians".
Academic consensus is that Columbus was born in Genoa, though there are other theories. The name Christopher Columbus is the Anglicisation of the Latin Christophorus Columbus. The name is rendered in modern Italian as Cristoforo Colombo, in Portuguese as Cristóvão Colombo (formerly Christovam Colom), and in Spanish as Cristóbal Colón.
The anniversary of Columbus' 1492 landing in the Americas (Columbus Day) is observed throughout the Americas and in Spain on October 12.

68 shots, 45 used. First panography shot with a SLR makes for faster/sharper shots that allowed me to get more defined people in the final product.
