Still dining out on Bhutan photographs...
This was a chance find on our way into India from Bhutan... and there were very few Westerners about. All I can remember was that it was in the far South East of Bhutan, near the border with India.
I'd forgotten about these until I cross-processed the roll of film in a dev-blitz last week. The transparencies looked pink which has given the images a green cast... which I kinda like; gives it an older feel. Looking at this reminds me of those early colour films of the 1920s or so.
Thing is with Bhutan; it hasn't changed much in a hundred years and moreso in the rural parts so the traditional architecture and costumes adds to the effect.
Cross processed at 86º for about 10-12 mins (the dev solution had been hammered by this point) using a Tetenal C41 kit.

Travel article number four in Hindustan Times (Mumbai) by Babasteve. This one is on Bhutan. Three others were Mozambique, Hill Tribes of Thailand, and Prague.
