Swirls of cloud and the west face of the minaret of the Grande Mosquee of Agadez catch the light of the setting sun. A symbol of Niger's north and arguably the country's most recognizable landmark, the minaret is a classic example of the Sudanese style of architecture, prevelant across much of Saharan Africa.
